Courtesy of the Osteria Mozza cookbook and the genius that is Nancy Silverton we re-created her amazing dessert! I have not been lucky enough to try it in the restaurant but if its anything as good as ours, I can’t wait!
This dessert is one of the creamiest and smoothest desserts I’ve ever had. The pudding, caramel, and whipped cream used a total of 4 1/2 cups of whipping cream + 2 cups of whole milk! That’s all I need to say about the caloric intake of this dish, but everyone deserves to treat themselves!
A spoonful is absolute perfection when it includes a small dollop of of rich whipped cream (made with sour cream), followed by a layer of sweet and gooey caramel topped with sea salt flakes and followed with another layer of creamy butterscotch pudding. I wish you could taste my memories as I’m writing this!
